Ludovico Caracci’s “The Lamentation” and Francesco Trevisani’s
“Dead Christ Supported by the Angels”Since time in memorial, memories and relevant events have always been told and documented by artists through drawings, paintings and other mediums. Apart from entertainment, the other key role of art is to highlight and addresses relevant issues in society. Artists have always created artistic works that are connected and related to the culture and society they live in. Separated by decades or centuries, artists have addressed the same issues in their work, from religion to society to love and justice. This paper will compare and analyze two paintings with religious themes, created one hundred fifty years apart: “Dead Christ Supported by Angels” by Francesco Trevisani and “The Lamentation” by Ludovico Carracci. “Dead Christ Supported by Angels” depicts the body of Jesus Christ held by divine angels and was paonted in 1701. The medium used for the drawing is oil on canvas; its dimensions are 51 1/2 x 38 1/4 in. (130.8 x 97.2 cm). “The Lamentation” was painted in 1852, using oil on canvas; its dimensions are 37 1/2 x 68 in. (95.3 x 172.7 cm). The comparison reveals how two artists use the elements of painting differently to address the same subject matter. (more…)

Since historical times, flags have been used by nations across the globe to represent the views of the populations about various concerns. Flags have symbolic meanings that convey the beliefs and values of individuals that they represent. To enhance harmonic co-existence and ensure sustainability of these important national symbols, it is vitally important for the developers and framers of the flags to have a unified understanding of the meaning of the respective flags. Besides being used by the national army, the states adopted confederate flags and used them for various purposes. Just like other states, South Carolina was among the nations that employed this flag to signify various reasons. However, contradicting positions regarding the significance of the confederate flag led to resistance amongst the populations. While the White factions felt that the flag was an important symbol of heritage, Blacks believed that the flag symbolized racism and social oppression. (more…)

Literature Review
Models of multinational corporations vary in terms of the positioning of its executive and production departments in one or different countries. Positioning of the executive and production facilities in different countries allows the company to benefit from incorporation in a given locality, and this makes it possible for the corporation to incur the lowest production cost.
Another model is where the corporation bases the main company in one country and operates its subsidiaries in different parts of the world. All the functions of the company are based in the country of origin. Also, another model involves setting up the headquarters of a multinational corporation in one country so that it can supervise the diversity of conglomeration that corporations are associated with in different countries. Wind as an Important Source of Non-Conventional Energy
I. INTRODUCTION
Global pressure is on the rise to embrace sustainable energy sources which are also convenient in terms of economic considerations. With many industries coming up and increased need of energy supply thereof, more inventions into power production are introduced. Many energy sources are available across the world and wind energy has, in the contemporary days, gained popularity. Wind energy production dates back to 1970’s upon development of wind turbines by NASA. These were to be used for the purpose of power production. It has emerged that wind power generation has many advantages compared to a number of other power generation means (Janardhan & Fesmire, 2011 pg 1 p 2).
